Is your attorney a porn star?

They very well could be if he is, Ronald S. Miller. According to CBS News Ronald, also known as Don Hollywood, is an attorney by day and a porn start by night. "Criminal defense attorney Ronald S. Miller does more than file briefs; he also takes them off." Not sure if I would want my attorney to also be in porn movies but I guess it is the 2000's???

How will blogs change the business world?

Blogs Will Change Your Business: "You cannot afford to close your eyes to them (blogs), because they're simply the most explosive outbreak in the information world since the Internet itself. And they're going to shake up just about every business -- including yours."

Wow! Those are some pretty strong statements from the most recent issue of Business Week Magazine. This is an amazing article on the world of blogs. I never thought I would be working in such a hot industry. Marketing is my passion and working with a relatively new median provides me a huge advantage over other marketing people. While many other young professionals my age are still working on email newsletter and have never even heard the word blog, I am working for a Professional Marketing blog company. This is what we do, marketing blogs.

The article brings up a good question "Any chance that a blog bubble could pop? The answer is really easy: no." Blogs are not a fad. They are here to stay. They are only in the beginning of the product live cycle (fancy term used in business school to mean a new product) and have a lot of growing to do. I am just happy I can be apart of the exciting ride.

Happy Tax Day!

When I was in college people would say to me "wait until you get in the real world." I never really understood what that meant, until I did my taxes. This is my first year doing taxes and not being a student. You mean I don't get a refund, I actually have to pay? That sucks! Yes, I own money to Uncle Sam for the first time in my life.

So let me get this straight, I don't get spring break, I don't get summer vacation, I don't get a month at Christmas and I have to pay taxes. Wow, welcome to the real world.

Ever heard of RSS?

Some of you may have heard the term RSS but most of you probably haven't. This is a great screen cast that a guy from Microsoft put together that walks you through what RSS is and how you use it. It is only about 15 minutes long and well worth it. You may want to know what this is since Bill Gates said this is the way of the future. He doesn't predict the future he writes it. I hope you find it informative.

Enjoy!

Busy, busy..

Blogger hasn't been working very good lately and has been giving me problems when I try to post. That is why I have had duplicate posts and the links don't work on either of them. If I wasn't so cheap I would use TypePad, which is much better but costs it $4.95 a month to use their blog software. I just can't justify it right now.

Jon and I spent the weekend in the mountains at a friend's cabin. It was so relaxing and a much needed rest for both of us. We were so secluded we didn't even know the Pope died.

It is a bit shocking going from ultra relaxing weekend at a cabin in the middle of nowhere to work where I am super busy. I am getting ready to head to Phoenix for the Legal Marketing Association annual conference. I leave Wednesday but have a lot to do to get ready for it.
