We are headed back to LA tomorrow. We have spent the past week in Washington State visiting my family for Christmas. We have been all over the state trying to see everyone. I wish I could have spent more time in my hometown. However, I was happy to drive through and at least get at D & M coffee (honestly the best coffee in the world even better than in Europe) and get lunch at the Palace Cafe (my friends and I all worked there in high school). I was surprised that some of the same people still work there and they remembered me. It was so much fun. We also had a chance to go skiing while we were in Wenatchee visiting my aunt. It was great fun. Living in Hawaii and California the past year I forget just how cold it can get in the Northwest.
I had a great Christmas at my mom's house. Going to my mom's house is like going to Martha Stewart's house. She goes all out. A few of my Christmas present highlights include : Heely's (the shoes that kids wear that have a wheel in the heel and you can skate around, I have never actually seen an adult wearing them but I figured I should start the adult trend), Sex and the City series (yes all 6 seasons, I am so excited to watch them all), a beautiful picture for my house, People Magazine year subscription, hand painted Italian platter...and on and on. It was a great Christmas.

Going Back to Hawaii
I got a call to work in Hawaii the end of this week. I had planned to travel to my families for Christmas today but due to work I had to rearrange my plans. I was super excited to be able to work on Lost again so soon. I guess it is just show biz that we have to change our plans. It is hard for Jon and I at this point in our careers to make definite plans for anything. Luckily people are understanding. I sort of enjoy the uncertainty. It keeps me on my toes and keeps things exciting. I never know what I am doing day-to-day. Things can change in a moment.
It does make me appreciate the things in my life that are more stable ie family, friends, my husband and of course God.

Christmas Cookie Party
I know it is a bit dorky to have a cookie party but it was such a hit that I think it might become an annual event. The party started at 2 pm and people didn’t start to leave until 1 am. We didn't decorate cookies that long. After we finished decorating the cookies we had a contest on the best cookies and then we played games. It was a great time.

Oh How I love Christmas
I am such a sucker for Christmas. I love it so much. I love everything about it: eggnog, Christmas Trees, shopping, the color red, music, Christmas lights, parties, going home to see family, the movie Elf, warm fires... the list goes on and on. I also really enjoy decorating Christmas cookies so I decide to have a cookie decorating party for today. I was surprised when I started asking people to come decorate cookies with how many people were so excited. I guess they love Christmas as much as me.
Last night we went to a Christmas concert. There was giant choir and a giant orchestra playing all the classics. It was a great way to spend a Friday night.

Different Coasts
When I flew out to Hawaii on Wednesday to work on Lost, Jon flew out to New York to work on Law and Order SVU. We were excited to get the call for him to work on a new show. His stunt went well and he had a great day of work. My stunt also went well and it was fun to see all my friends from Lost. I had a nice time in Hawaii but was so busy I didn't get to enjoy Hawaii like I wanted to.
When we fly for work the production company must fly us first class in accordance to our union rules. I must say it is so nice to fly first class.

Back in LA
We moved out of the apartment in Waikiki last week so we are officially LA residents. It is kinda weird but the good news is I will still be working on Lost just now they will be flying me out first class and putting me up in a hotel room. I honestly didn't know if they would still hire me but I got the call last week to work, so I will be flying out Wednesday to work in Hawaii.
Today we are buying our first Christmas tree. I just love Christmas and am looking forward to all the Christmas parties and good food. I am already submerged in Christmas music. Our rental car we have (yes we still have a rental from when our 2nd car got stolen) has XM radio which has 6 Christmas stations. It is great.

Earthquakes and Turkey
We were on our way to the the beach this morning when we got a call from Jon's brother who is visiting us in Hawaii asking us if we just felt the earthquake. What earthquake we said? While we were in the car there was an earthquake here in Kona, Hawaii. It was a 5.0 on the Richter scale, which is a decent size. It was Jon and his families first quake. Jon was bummed that we were in the car and didn't feel it. I guess there were pictures that fell off the wall and other chaos going on.
After the earthquake the power went off which caused my stepmom to begin to worry because she had Thanksgiving dinner to try and cook. After a few hours the power came back on but we were pretty close to not having a turkey dinner.
Right after the quake we went the beach not knowing there was a tsunami warning. We thought about it but figured if the ocean began to pull back we would just run for high ground. It was fun and the waves were good. All in all it was an exciting Thanksgiving.

Fun in Hawaii
We are in Hawaii for Thanksgiving with Jon's family. We have been busy showing them around. We spent the last few days on Ohau and today we flew to the Big Island. We went snorkeling with the turtles today at my favorite snorkeling spot in hawaii. In Hawaii on Thanksgiving you go to the beach before dinner so tomorrow I am taking them to my favorite beach called Kua Bay (not sure on spelling). We are having dinner at my dad's house.
I must say I have been tired from all our vacations but am having a fun time.

Jon Doubled Ben Stiller
Jon left Orlando a day early to fly back to LA because he got called to double Ben Stiller on Friday for the movie The Hearbreak Kid. He did some driving for Ben. Jon is such a good double for him.
Disney World Rocked!
We had such a great time in Disney World. We were so busy and I was so exhausted by the end of the trip. It was a great time of year to go because there were no lines for any rides. I don't think that we waited in any line more than 5 minutes. We have so many pictures. I will post a slide show in the next couple of days when I get some time to. I wore Mini Mouse ears everyday that I was there...because I can. It was cool. I flew to Hawaii yesterday from Orlando. It was such a long travel day. I had two lay over and spent 17 hours traveling here. The pictures here is of all my family who came to Orlando for the trip. There were 14 of us total.

Swimming with the Manatees
Today we went swimming with the manatees. It was so amazing. It was better than I could have imagined. They are such gentle creatures. They just chill and hang out with you. However, one pooped on my head when I was petting his belly. It was pretty nasty and my mom was laughing so hard. I took it as good luck. Don't some cultures think it is good luck to be pooped on by a bird, I think it must be even better luck to be pooped on my a large marine mammal. (That's me with the green fins swimming with the manatees.)

Traveling for a Bit
Tomorrow Jon and I are headed to Disneyworld with 14 of my family members for a week. I can't tell you how excited I am about going to Disneyworld. It will also be my first time in Florida. I have been to Europe 3 times but I have never been to Florida. We have a very busy schedule and tons to do once we are there. On Sunday we are swimming with manatees and chartering a boat for all of us. It should be fun. Then Monday through Friday we will be hitting the parks. I just can't wait.
Next Friday we fly directly from Orlando to Hawaii to meet up with Jon's family for their family trip. We will be spending about 12 days in Hawaii just having a good time. This should also be a super fun trip. It is fun to show people around our old turf.
This of course is all subject to change if we get a job between now and then. However, if we don't it is vacation for the next three weeks for us. It should be a really fun couple weeks.

Teen Wolf
Jon got hired last week to play Teen Wolf in an upcoming pilot for Comedy Central (if you don't rember Teen Wolf is a movie from the 80's starting Micheal J. Fox). Jon is actually the actor not just the stuntman. They wanted to hire a stunt actor for the part. It will be a reoccurring role if the show gets picked up. The name of the show is called Not Another High School Show produced by the same people who did Not Another Teen Movie.
Jon’s first day of work was last Sunday. It took 3 hours to put on all his make up and prosthetics. Here is a picture of him in full make up. I didn’t think it was possible to make Jon look so scary but they succeeded.

Stunt Reel
Here is the new (as of 8/30/07) version of my stunt reel. This is basically my resume I will hand out to stunt coordinators. This is just the footage from season 2 of Lost, my car hit from One Tree Hill and my work on Monk. I don't have anything I did this summer (like Transformers or doubling Juilianne Moore and Jessica Beil) because I don't have the footage. Let me know your thoughts. Enjoy!
Make sure the volume is turned up on your compter.

My First Ambulance Ride
Well, I did my tough stunt last night and honestly it could have gone better. I got hit by a car as I walked across the street...on purpose, twice. I took a pretty hard hit to the head on the second take. Getting hit by the car was fine it was falling off the car that sucked. I got accidentally thrown off the top of the car because the driver swerved and the momentum threw me off and I landed on cement directly on my head. Luckily I had a small pad in between my wig and my head that I just happened to hit when I landed. Once I landed I knew I was hurt. They had a ton of paramedics and an ambulance on set ready in case something happened. They all rushed into check on me. I tried to sit up but I was really dizzy and couldn't. I am assuming it must be what boxers feel when they get knocked out and try to get up. I felt like I was drunk.
As a form of precaution they took me to the hospital with a neck brace on. I had a CT scan to make sure my brain wasn't bleeding and I didn't break my neck. I ended up having a concussion but after a few hours they let me go back to the hotel. The good news is they got the shot and it looks super cool. It is all just part of the job. I think every stuntman has their story or stories of work injuries. We flew Jon out so he was there which made me feel a ton better.
I am totally fine today I just feel a bit dizzy which is just part of the concussion. Thanks for everyone's prayers. When I can I will put the car hit video up.

My Hardest Stunt
I just got hired to do the hardest stunt yet. I guess a few other girls turned it down because it will be scary. I am super excited and super nervous. I will be doing it next Wednesday so please pray all goes well. Unfortunatly, I can't say what it is for (not Lost if you were worndering) but I am flying out to the East Coast to do it. I will be sure to let you all know at the right time what and when to watch.
Sorry I am not doing a great job of keeping up with my blog. I have been on the road traveling for about three weeks. We finally moved into our new apartment on Wednesday but we don't have internet service. I am at a friends house right now shopping on line for a refirdgerator because our apartment didn't come with one (most all apartments in LA don't have a fridge). My new aparment building feels like the aparments on Melrose Place. There is a super cute court yard with a pool they light up at night and lots of flowers and palm trees. I think it will work great for us although, we aren't home very much. Heck I will be gone almost all week next week on the east cost for work then I am home for two weeks then gone for a month then home for three weeks then gone for a few weeks again. Busy, busy.

On Lost This Week
Remember last week when I said I was on Lost and I thought my scene was cut well I heard it will be on this weeks Lost. I don't know for sure but that is what the rumor is. Look for me and I will let you know.
We are starting our road trip today down to California with the Uhaul and our furniture. We will be moving into our new apartment tomorrow. I can't wait.

Shopping Marathon
I have been spending the last few days just outside Portland OR with my mom and the whole time I have been here we have been shopping for furniture for my new apartment I move into next week in California (I bet you are asking why I am shopping in Portland when I am moving to California well because there is no sales tax in Oregon and we have to drive past Oregon on our way to California anyway). We have to drive our belongings that we put in storage last year when we moved to Hawaii down to California. I all but refused to move our couch we bought used in college for $75 down to California. We already moved this couch, reluctantly, from Colorado to Washington after we graduated. I am not in college anymore and I just want real furniture. In the last three days we bought a new leather couch and love seat, coffee table, end tables, real framed art, a dining room set and little decorations to match our new furniture. I am super excited and feel so grown up.
We have spent the last year living out of the two suite cases we moved to Hawaii with. It has been really weird living out of suite cases for over a year, not really having a home, and being so transient. I don't this to changing anytime soon except we will now just have a home base and an address. I am enjoying this time on my live. It is very exciting and I never get board.

Cut
The scene I was in for Lost last night was cut from the show. This happens a ton in movies but hasn't happened to me yet on Lost. That is just show biz. Jon is in next week's Lost so be sure to look for him.

Snorkeling and SCUBA Diving
My cousins was in town this past week so we did some tourist stuff. We went to Hamauma Bay (a popular snorkeling spot) to go snorkeling. The image is a picture of the bay. It is a nature preserve so you have to pay to get in the park (unless you have a local ID) and they make you watch a dumb 10 minute video basically telling you not to be an idiot. I heard great things about the bay but honestly I wasn't that impressed. I thought Kona was much better snorkeling. It was still fun.
Yesterday I went on my first boat scuba diving trip. We did a two tank dive. The first dive was great and I went down over 100 feet which was super cool. There was a boat that we checked out under the water. The second dive was not that great but still fun. We took some pictures on an underwater camera and when my cousin gets them developed I will post them.
As usual our schedule is busy for the next few weeks. Next week Jon is flying to New Jersey to spend some time with his family. He is also going to drive down with his brother to go to an Alabama Football game next weekend. I will be spending a few days in Kona next week visiting some of my family who live there. Then on October 12 we will be meeting in Washington to pick up our stuff we put in storage last year (everything we left behind when we moved to Hawaii last year). We will then drive our stuff down to California and move into our new apartment. It will be so nice to have our own place. We have been living out of our suit cases for the past 13 months. It will be nice to have a home base even if it is LA.

Just call me Job
Work went great on Friday. I will let you all know when the episode of Monk airs that I am in so you can watch if you want.
I flew back to Hawaii on Saturday. About an hour and a half into the trip I started to not feel great. I went to the bathroom and got sick aka I threw up. I spent the next three hours in the airplane bathroom throwing up every ten minutes. It was AWFUL!!!!! I was so sick. I had food poisoning and bad. The worst part was that I was stuck on an airplane and couldn't go anywhere. Once we landed I was so weak and tired I needed a wheelchair to take me to the baggage claim to meet Jonathan. On the way to baggage claim I threw up in the airport. That was super embarrassing but I was so sick a I didn't even care.
Once we got home I continued to throw up, however I was able to go to sleep. I slept for a few hours and woke up and continued being sick. I couldn't keep anything down. I tried to tough it out before I ended up going to the hospital. It had been 24 hours since I had eaten or drank anything and I was so weak and so dehydrated. In the hospital, they gave me IV, medicine to help me to stop throwing up and pain medicine because my muscle were so sore from not having any fluid in them. It really really sucked. They sent me home last night and I was able to keep some chicken broth down. I think I am finally over it but it was hell. Food poisoning is so violent. I am on the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, apple sauce and tea) for a few days while my stomach recovers. At least I am in Hawaii and I can go lay on the beach while my stomach heals. What a crazy experience. Not only did I have food poisoning but I had to have the worst part of it on the airplane.

Another One Bites the Dust...
Last Sunday our last and final car aka Grandma's car broke down on the side of the road. That makes three cars down in two months. Grandma's car transmission went out and it is going to cost more to fix the car than the car is worth so it will be taken to the car graveyard. We are having the worst luck with cars. I guess all you can do is laugh.

R.I.P. Two Acuras
I am still in shock that we got our brand new car stolen. Here are two sets of keys that need a car to go with them. I can't bring myself to get ride of the keys to both our stolen cars. It is just so sad.
We flew to Colorado today for a wedding Jon is in on Saturday. Our buddy, Sean, from college is getting married in the mountains of Colorado. He has a lot to live up to because we also got married in Colorado and it was a pretty sweet wedding if I do say so myself. We are here until Sunday morning. We fly out at 6 am Sunday morning back to LA because Jon has to work at 8:30 am (he is the stunt coordinator of a short movie). When he is working I have to move out of the apartment we are living in and store our stuff at our buddies house until October 15th when we move into our new apartment. On Sunday night, Jon has a hockey game and on Monday morning we fly out to Hawaii because Jon has to work out there for a week. I am tagging along because I can and heck it is Hawaii. It will be a busy few days for us. I just hope I can sleep somewhere in the next few days.

ROBBED.....AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am not kidding when I say this, we had our band spanking new car....STOLEN!!!!! last night. I went out to where the car should be this morning and the car was gone. We searched the neighborhood just to make sure we didn't forget where we parked it and yes it is gone gone gone! We just filed a police report and filed our claim with our insurance. I guess it is back to the humble-mobile, grandma's car. I will keep you all updated. I just really can't believe it. Oh for those who don't remember we just had our last car stolen only two months ago and this new car was the replacement for the last one we had stolen.

Apartment Shopping
We have spent most of the week looking for an apartment. It is so time consuming. We are having a heck of a time finding a place and what makes it really hard is we don't know the area very well. Area is so important because you may find a nice apartment inside but there could be bullets whizzing by when you step out your door. What I am finding out is just a few blocks can be the difference between a good area and a bad area. Plus rental prices are really high right now. Even landlords are telling me that. There is an apartment for rent in the building where we are staying that is exactly the same as the one we are in but they want $500 more for the same place. It is just crazy. I really hope to find something soon. I feel like the last 6 weeks of my life I have spent looking for a new car and now a new apartment. I need to free up my time so I can focus on work and training.

Working on Transfomers
I spent the past few days working on Transformers. It was so much fun! I met so many nice people and some old friends of my dad's. I was really hoping to go to my home town for the annual Rodeo but it didn't happen. I will defiantly go next year. However, work is always better. Jon flew back from working on Lost in Hawaii last Friday. He had a great time. I can't wait to go back to work in Hawaii. I am not sure when that will be but hopefully soon.

On IMDB.com
Jon and I are finally on IMDB.com (Internet Movie Database). This site is used by people in the business a ton. I use it all the time. Basically on this site you can look up people and see what they have worked on. It is hard to get added but we have finally been added. Now we are just working on getting all of our credits up aka Transformers and Next. We are now official and in history forever. This is pretty cool for us. To view our pages on the site, click here for me and click here for Jon.
I finished stunt driving school today. It was so much fun! I learned some very valuable skills that I will use in my career. We ended the class with 360 turns. Wow what a rush. We were not allowed to take pictures or video so I don't have any to share with everyone. Hopefully I can use what I learned in a movie then you can all watch it.

What a Day
My day actually started last night. I took a red eye from Honolulu to LA last night so I could be here in time for driving school today. I barely slept, landed, got my luggage, got gas, changed my cloths in gas station bath room and drove to stunt driving school with only a few minutes to spare. I was so tired because I had only a few hours of sleep on the air plane so at first I was kind of out of it. Once the caffeine kicked in I was having a ball. Stunt driving school was awesome. Most people can throw a car around but being able to do it properly and hit your mark for camera takes practice. I have two more days of class and can't wait.
I left class a few minutes early to actually pick up our new car. We bought it last week but because we were out of town we left the car at the dealership until today. It was so scary and so exciting to drive our brand spanking new car off the dealer lot! I blasted our new Bose stereo system but got explicit instructions I can't enjoy the car (aka drive the car fast) until the car has 400 miles on it. I thought about driving to Vegas to put on the 400 miles sooner but remembered the reason I have a new car in the first place is because the bast#@*s in Vegas stole our old car so I just drove home. I am so sleepy that today just kind of seems like a super fun dream. Stunt driving school and bringing home the new baby (our car) all in the same day, what a great day!

Enjoying Hawaii
I was caught taking an afternoon cat nap here in Hawaii. I just love it here. I fly back to LA on Monday so I can be home in time for stunt driving school which starts on Tuesday. I am so excited for stunt driving school. Jon had a blast when he went in June. Jon will be staying in Hawaii next week because of work.

SCUBA Diving in Hawaii
Today we went Scuba diving in the North Shore of Oahu at a shore dive called Sharks Cove. As soon as I heard the name every muscle in my body froze. I am terrified of sharks, yes even stuntwoman can be afraid of something but the difference is even though I am afraid I don't let my fear stop me from having a good time.
I had so much fun. Scuba diving is like snorkeling on steroids. We saw lots of cool fish and a few sea turtles, but now sharks. I can't wait to go again. I am going to try to go again this week. I hope it works out.

We Finally Bought a New Car!
Jon is working the end of this week in Hawaii so I decided to stay in Hawaii for the week to be with Jon instead of flying back to California. I recently got SCUBA certified so I want to try SCUBA diving in Hawaii this week with my spare time. Jon flies out early this week so we will just have fun and play for a few days before he has to work. I have to fly home next Monday because I have driving school starting a week from this Tuesday. I have really enjoyed the past few days in Hawaii. I really love it here. I love that I can run outside instead of running on a treadmill.
We have been shopping for a car since we had our car stolen weeks ago. We finally bought a car today! We were going back and forth on weather to get a new car or a used. In the end we decided on a new car because we negotiated to get $200 below the invoice ( the invoice is what the dealer pays for the car and is thousands less than the MSRP.) We bought an Acura RSX which is a 2 door little sports car that is fast. I really love the car and you can't go wrong with an Acura. I am super happy with it. Jon bought the car today all by himself because I am playing in Hawaii. I have never bought a brand new car but it is super exciting.

Flying to Hawaii
I am flying to Hawaii tomorrow for work. I will be back in LA on Saturday morning. We husseled a few sets this week and we will continue to hussle sets next week. Oh the life of a new stunt person, out there introducing yourself to everyone. Lucky, most everyone knows my dad so at least I have that going for me and I already have a job on Lost.
In the mean time, Jon and I have been spending hours trying to figure out what kind of car to buy. It is a tough decision especially for Jon because cars are so important to him. The problem we are finding in LA is that used cars are not taken care of very well. People basically have to live out of their cars because of the traffic so they end up not treating them very well. We are leaning on buying a new car but we have to park the car on the street which is always scary due to the car dings and other issues. Not sure what we are going to due but hopefully we do something soon. It is hard on the ego driving my grandma's car but I guess I shouldn't complain about a free car to use. I do appreciate it but couldn't she have a BMW instead?

Staying in LA
I have been talking to people lately and a lot of people think we are moving back to Hawaii. Jon and I are staying in LA and only flying to Hawaii when we have to work. That way we can work on other shows here in LA. Speaking of work, I am flying to Hawaii this week for work. It should be fun.

Just a little bull riding
Here are the videos of Jon and I riding the mechanical bull at the cowboy wedding we went to. I was terrible but I had a good time. Jon did a good job.

We were doomed from the beginning
My friend, Eric Yanega, just sent me this article on the most stolen cars last year and 6 of the top 10 were Acura Integras (our car that was stolen) just different years. So, basically we had no hope especially since Jon did so much after market work to the car. I guess this sort of makes me fell better because we had such a desired car. Thanks Eric for the article.

Jon the big time Stunt Coordinator
Jon got his first stunt coordinating job on a national commercial. He flew from Portland last night to be there for rehearsals today. They are filming next week. I guess it is a Tony the Tiger commercial for Mexico.
I am still in Portland because this weekend my step dad is going to certify me in SCUBA. As a stunt person it is important to have as many certifications as possible. Jon is flying back tonight and we will be driving back early next week in our new "barrowed" car. Because my Grandma had a stroke more than likely she won't be able to drive again so we are using her car until we can find a new one. Talk about humble pie, we go from a fast little sports car to literally a grandma car. Oh well, it saves us on getting a rental.

I Love My Family!
We have been in Washington the past week for a wedding but on the way up here my dear grandma went into the hostpital. It ends up she had a stroke. My grandma and I are very close so I was so thankful that I was here in Washington to be here for her. I know she was surprised to see Jon and I. My entire family (except my sister who was in Hawaii) came to see my grandma. It was amazing the amount my family came together for my grandma. My family is so awesome! My aunties feel more like second moms and my cousins feel more like siblings. I feel blessed to have a family that I know will always be there for me.
Here are some pictures from the actual wedding. Jon and I got into the cowboy spirit and had a great time.

Havin' a good time
We are having so much fun in Washington. Today we spent the afternoon playing on the river and bridge jumping, then we drove across the Canadian border because some people we were with have never been to Canada before. Once we were in Canada we got some ice cream and hiked to a water fall. Tonight we had some good home cookin' bar-b-que, rode a mechanical bull and some people sang kaeroke. Both Jon and I ( I was in a skirt) rode the mechanical bull. It was so much fun. I will post the video of us riding the bull once I have a chance to upload it. I can't wait for the cattle drive, wedding, dinner and dancing tomorrow. I will post more when I get a chance. (one picture is of us we are eatting ice cream in Canada and one is of us at the barn dancing tonight, doesn't Jon look so country and so cute? What happened to my metro sexual husband?0

Headed to Washington
We are headed to Washington for a Wedding this weekend. The funny thing is, the wedding is for a stunt guy that lives in California. I think it is funny because the wedding is in my home state. The wedding is actually 5 days of festivities that start today. We will be there tomorrow. The wedding is on a ranch and it has a cowboy theme so it should be really fun. I need to find a pair of cowboy boots which I won't usually wear (I think because I grew up in a cow town so I have issues with them) but I need to wear some for the wedding. They are having a cattle drive, we are floating the river, a kareoke night, camp fire and singing, a brunch the day after the wedding and on and on. We have a few friends coming too so it will be fun to hang out with them.
Here are a few pictures of when we went to Disneyland this last week.

Time to enjoy ourselves
We had a rough week last week so we decided to go enjoy ourselves tomorrow and go to Disneyland. For Jon and my birthday my dad bought us season tickets to Disneyland so now we can go when ever we want. It is great. Then tomorrow night we are going to Medieval Times for dinner. I have never been before so it should be a fun time.
As far as work is concerned, I took this week easy. I felt funky until today. They gave me pain medicine and I didn't take it with food and I got so sick for two days. So I was pretty much down all week. Jon on the other hand was the stunt coordinator for a commercial today and then got asked to coordinate another commercial in August and our friend asked him to coordinate his short movie for him, which is really cool. I was suppose to go to an Emmy party on Sunday night but I got hung up at the hospital. I heard it was a fun time.

All Good!
I just heard that my MRI turned out fine. I am HEALTHY!!! They still aren't sure what happened to me. They are thinking that maybe I came in contact with some chemicals that made my pupil blow and fail some neurological tests. Strange. I am just happy I am ok.
Thanks for the love everyone! Hopefully this week will be better than the last.
Thanks for the love everyone! Hopefully this week will be better than the last.
Hospitalized
I spent the past 24 hours in the hospital. It all started yesterday when I noticed in the mirror that my right pupil was much larger than my left one. I gave it some time to see if it would go away, then I called my wonderful aunt Mary (who is a nurse) to ask her what I should do. She advised me to go the emergency room because a "blown" pupil can be serious and could be related to head trauma, and considering that I wack my head around for a living I didn't want to take any chances. (In the picture you can see that one of my pupils is larger than the other one. It is an awful picture and I didn't really want to put it up but I figured I should so don't laugh at it. My pupil actually got worse than this at one point. If you click on the picture you can see it bigger. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I have one color-enhancing contact lense in, green, so don't be scared.)
I went to the emergency room and they said it was a good thing I came in. First they gave me a CAT scan to see if my brain was bleeding. The scan came back negative so they gave me several neurological tests, some of which I failed. Considering that I'm relatively young and in good health and failed these tests they admitted me to the hospital over night for further tests and observations. I told them I couldn't stay in the hospital tonight because I had an Emmy Nominees Party to attend, but they didn't listen, and I traded in the cocktail dress for a sexy backless hospital gown.
They did some more tests and I meet with the neurologist (I was disappointed that he was no where near as cute as McDreamy from Gray's Anatomy) and they still were not sure what was going on. Today they gave me a MRI. Not a hug fan of the MRI, I'll be honest. After some time they sent me home to wait for the test results. I should get the results tomorrow morning. I will be sure to post what the doctor says. It was a little scary last night but today my eye is looking better but they still don't know what is going on.
Thanks everyone so much for the support, phone calls, prayers, and hospital visits. It ment so much to me knowing that I have so many people who love me. It made my stay in the hospital much eaiser.
As I was getting out of the hospital I remembered only a week ago today our car was stolen. What a week!

Acura GS-R R.I.P.
Well, we finally saw what is left of our car. It was worse then we thought. Everything was gone, I mean everything. They took our engine, after market suspension, front brakes, seats, all but one wheel and tire, stereo, the floor carpet, they even took the V-Tec sticker on the back of our car. They were total professionals. They knew to take the numbers for the stereo out of the owners manual. However, they left their latex gloves they used to strip our car. They also left Jon's hockey stick but it looks like they used it because it was all scraped up. Here are some pictures of what was left (one pictues if where the engine use to be and the other is where the front seats use to be). Jon made a video of the car if you want to take a tour (click on the play button on the video at the bottom of this post to watch the video).
We ended up handing the title over to the towing yard, which by the way was super sketchy, and had to pay $200 for the tow before we could leave. It was a very sad day. Jon and I started our life together in that car. The car had lived with us in 5 different states. We drove across country in it when we moved to Colorado, when we moved to Washington, it went on a boat when we moved to Hawaii, and went on a boat when we moved to California. The car was good to us and I will miss him. We are now shopping for a new car. In the mean time we are in the rental.

Headed Back to Vegas
We are headed to Vegas tomorrow to check on the status of our car. No one seems to be able to tell us what actually remains. Do we have an engine, seats, wheels...? We were told it was "undriveable" and "stripped" but that was it. We have talked to both the towing company and the police and no one seems to know what is left of our car. We are headed there to have a look for ourselves.
We would have gone earlier in the week but I had to work on Tuesday and Jon had to finish his driving class. I didn't do the driving class with him because I got called to work instead. You always turn down training for work. Jon had a great time in the class and learned a lot. I will be taking the class in the next month work permitting.

Working on Transfomers and My Time in Vegas
On Tuesday (after sleeping 2 hours and having my car stolen the day before) I worked on the movie Transformers (Directed by Michael Bay and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg). It was a super interesting day at work. There was tons of action going on but I don't think I can go into detail about what we did. We were not even allowed to have cameras on set. One guy got caught taking pictures and he had to give his camera over so they could delete the pictures he took, so with that being said you will just have to see the movie when it comes out next year. Even though they are still filming the movie there is already a trailer out. To watch the trailer click here. It should be a good movie.
We spent last weekend in Vegas for our friends bachelor party. We had a great time however our trip was over shadowed by getting our car stolen. On Saturday night it was boys only so I hung out with one of the other wives at the new hotel Wynn. On Sunday night we all went to Light, a club in the Bellagio hotel. The bouncer was a real jerk and he thought he was the cats meow. Once we got in we had a great time. It was a bit pretentious for me but the music was fun. We danced our hearts out. The best part of the trip was when we played laser tag on Monday. I am not a huge fan of Vegas but I had a nice time, mostly because we got to see old friends. I am looking forward to the wedding in September.

Robbed...Again The Whole Story
On Saturday morning Jon and I drove to Las Vegas for our friend Sean's bachelor party. We had a great time (I will post more about our trip later). We had to drive home on Monday night in order to make it home for our driving class on that started Tuesday. At 5 pm we headed to our car when we realized our car was not where left it. After a few hours of searching the 10 story parking garage the hotel security determined the car must have been stolen. Apparently, there are 3-5 cars a day stolen from the hotel parking lot. 3-5! Isn't that crazy. When we were in the hotel security office another girl came in the office because her car had also been stolen. After a few hours we filled out the proper paper work and talked to the Las Vegas Police.
When we were trying to figure out how we were going to get back to LA in time for our stunt driving class in the morning I got a phone call at approximately 9:45pm asking me if I was available to work on Transformers on Tuesday. Of course I said yes because you never turn down work. Even though I wasn't sure how I was going to get home I knew I would be there in time for my 8:30 am call. Long story short we ended up renting a car. About 2:30 am we were two blocks from home in the rental car after we just had our car stole and we got pulled over by the cops. We end up getting a ticket for passing on the right. How is that even possible? I told the cops "thanks for kicking us when we are down". He was not very nice.
We got to bed a little after 3:15am and received a phone call from the Las Vegas PD at 3:30am (we were still awake). They were letting us know they found the car and were towing on a flat bed because it was undrivable, whatever that means. They were unsure of why the car was undrivable or what shape the car was in and told us to call the tow yard. The towing yard wouldn't give us any information because they said it was our insurance companies job to come to the tow yard to look at it. Well, we didn't have theft insurance on the car so the insurance company wouldn't come look at it. So today we are left not knowing what the status of our car is and we can't get to Vegas until Friday because Jon is the the stunt driving school until then.
I still can't belive our car was stolen.

At Work
I am at work right now in between shots. I was in the first shot of the day and the last so I have a couple hours to hang in my dressing room before I am needed again. I got to take my wig off in between shots which was really nice because wearing wigs for a long period of time sucks. Your head feels like it is being squeezed for hours.
Each time I am on set I learn something new. Today I learned I need to get more pads. I have the basic knee and elbow pads but I need to get a ton more. You need hard and soft pads and thin ones (you use those when you have tight wardrobe) thinker ones, hip pads, ankle pads, shin pads, tail bone pads, big and small back pads, collar bone pads...and the list goes on and on. I could have used more pads today but it ended up working out fine. Live and learn as my dad says.

Crazy Jersey Boys
The last couple days we have been hanging out with some seriously Jersey boys (although one of them now lives in Manhattan). Some of Jon's friends (mine friends now too) flew out from New Jersey to spend a few days on the west coast. These boys are the most high maintenance guys I have ever seen. They all take longer than me to get ready and they wear more product on their bodies than I even knew was possible. They are all really nice guys and spending the past few days with them was a fun experience. They are all single and on the "hunt" all weekend. I learned a lot about single guys and single girls. It is crazy out there in single land. I would tell you some of the stories but I don't think it would be audience appropriate. I must say I am super happy to not be in single land anymore. Can't wait for the crazy Jersey boys to come visit again. (Picture: Manny (the one flossing his teeth), Jon, Mikey and I (not pictured: Frankie) getting ready to go out for the evening.)

Doubling Jessica Biel
I just got hired to double Jessica Biel on the movie Next (the same movie I just worked on doubling Julianne Moore) next Friday! Isn't that great. Her normal double for this movie isn't available to work on Friday so they asked if I was available. She is a bit taller than me but I will be in a car so it doesn't really matter.
Doubling Julianne Moore on Thursday and Friday was super fun. On Thursday I tested a rig that special effects set up and then taught Julianne how to do it. It was easy, all she had to do was lay there and not move. She as a really really nice lady to work with. On Friday, Julianne wasn't there and I ended up having to say lines on camera with Nick Cage. The camera was over my shoulder looking at Nick so all they see of me is the back of me. They will cut my voice out but Nick needed something to act against. It was my first time saying lines on camera and it was soooo scary. It was like playing golf for your first time with Tiger Woods and your performance effected how well he did. Yeah, it was scary. I figured out that stunts are so much more fun than saying lines for me. I totally prefer getting thrown around and dirty than talking on camera. Perhaps I should take some acting classes so I get more comfortable talking on camera, because I may be in this position again. Maybe it wouldn't have been as scary if it wasn't Nick Cage I had to act with for my first time. Gosh I love my job!

Doubling Julianne Moore
I am doubling Julianne Moore tomorrow and Friday in the movie Next. This is the same movie Jon just did stunt driving for. Her regular double for this movie isn't able to work this Thursday and Friday so they asked me to do it. Isn't that great! I am super excited. Julianne Moore has been in such movies as Hannibal, Boogie Nights and The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Wish me luck.

Jon's First Job on a Movie
Jon is working on his first movie today. He was hired as a stunt driver on the new Nick Cage movie, Next. He is working for the same stunt coordinator who hired my dad on his first movie years ago. Way to go Jon. I know he will do great!

Back in LA
We have been out of town for a few days. We drove up to Washington to visit some family. We had a get together on Saturday at my mom's house and as a joke my cousin and my uncle made shirts with pictures of Jon and I on them. They were pretty funny. I guess that is what I get for putting pictures of Jon and I that look like they could be romance novel covers.
We went white water rafting on Tuesday on the Wenatchee river. It was awsome. I love Eastern Washington and had to get out in nature while I was there.
It was back to "work" for us today. We signed up for an answering service. All stunt people need to have an answering service. Basically it is used so cordinators can get in touch with you easily.

The Training Continues
We are continuing to spend our time training and trying new skills. This week we did the air ram for the first time. An air ram (picture to the left) is a piece of equipment used in stunts a ton. Typically you step on the air ram and it shoots you in the air. They are used in explosions, fights and lots of other stunts. Here is a great web site that shows the facility where we trained and more pictures of air rams.
We also continued working on our high falls. This week we learned how to do a header which is a high fall where you fall face first and at the last second flip to your back. This is harder than just jumping and falling because if you don't flip you land on your neck and you could really hurt yourself. It is easy to dive into water but it a whole differnt story to ask your body to fall face first into a solid object. It has been a fun week.

Baseball and Hockey
I went to my first Dodgers Game on Saturday. Our friends (Jimmy and Michelle) had free ticket's and invited us to go with them. I don't think I have ever been so hot. It was crazy hot and we sat in the sun for 4 hours. I didn't think I could make it through the whole game. We had great seats, which made it much more exciting.
Yesterday we spent the day in Santa Monica with some friends. We had a great time. Jon is on a stunt man's hockey team and he had his second game last night. He played great! He had three goals. Way to go Jon.

High Falls and Car Chases
Today we went to a stunt training facility where you can practice and learn different stunt skills. Jon and I did our first high falls there. We climbed these towers and jumped into giant crash pads. I loved it! I was really made to do this stuff. There is training every Thursday and Saturday morning at this place. We had to leave early because we were invited to visit the set of Next a movie that will come out next year. This is part of what new stunt people do to introduce themselves to stunt coordinators. I met some of my dad's old friends, which was really cool.
On the way to the set we were caught in the middle of a real life LA car chase. As we were driving 10 police cars passed us then pulled in front of us (literally right in front of us, we were the first car after the cop car) and stopped and pulled there guns out, big guns. The freeway got shut down and the road had cop cars blocking it. Wow, was it exciting to be so up close. So what did I do, I pulled my camera out and video recorded the whole thing. It was awesome! Here is a picture from the event. You can see how close we were to the action. This was taken after they got the guy.

25....Sigh
Well, I am officially in my mid twenties. Yesterday was my 25th birthday and I celebrated getting older by going to Disneyland. It was a wonderful day. I just love, love Disneyland. My friend got us very hard to get reservations at Club 33 , a very private, member only, 5 star restaurant in Disneyland. It was one of my best meals ever (well except for some of mom's). We went on all the good rides and had an amazing day. Did I mention my great friend from elementary school drove down from Washington yesterday to spend my birthday with me and my other great friend from middle school called me all the way from London and my other great friend from high school took me to dinner and had a party for me on Saturday, I have great friends. Thanks for all the phone calls from everyone wishing me Happy Birthday. I was surprised at how many people actually took the time to call me and actually remembered.
Getting older is really weird. I know 25 is still considered young by most but it is still a strange age. The good thing is, Jon will always be older :)

Three Years!
Jon and I have been married three years today. Happy Anniversary to us! I just love being married. Life is such a fun adventure but it is even greater to have your best friend to share it with. As the years go by, our love just continues grows. We have lived in 4 states in the three years we have been married and have had many fun times in our journey. At our wedding our pastor said to remember three things: 1. Friendship 2. Fun and 3. Forgiveness. That really was great advice because it is so true. Thanks Jon for being you! I can't wait to see what the next three years have in store.

Pictures from the Lost Finale
Here are some pictures from last nights show. Lost is all done until next Fall. Jon was in it a ton doubling Desmond and I was in it once doubling Kate when she got hit with the tazer and was carried by Jack and then dropped. It was great working on this season of Lost. I can't wait to start working on next season.

Screen Credit
When we were watching Lost last night we saw our names quickly on the credits at the end of the show. We both looked at each other with a confused look on our faces. First off, stunt men don't get screen credit on TV and even if they decided to just add our names for fun (which they would never do), we weren't in this episode. This morning when I woke up I watched the show on the Lost website and noticed we got screen credit for Production Staff. I think that is so funny because I have never worked in the production office. Perhaps they are giving us credit because we (Jon, myself and Mike Trisler) are the three main stunt people on the show and double most of the characters. Who knows but it is funny.(The other names are: four hair and make up people, one camera guy and one other stunt guy.)

Two Suit Cases
We are safe in LA now. We flew in last night and met with some friends for dinner. Jon and I are a bit in culture shock. We have been in Hawaii for 9 months and aren't use to the fast paced life of LA. I feel like I am surrounded by cement and everyone seems to be in a hurry. There is always traffic and going anywhere takes forever.
There was a point yesterday when Jon and I didn't have any keys to anything. No house keys (because we didn't have a house) and no car keys. It was weird because there aren't many times that happens in ones life. I remember 6 years ago when I left Washington with only two suite cases and moved across the country to live with strangers somewhere in a place where I had never been before in a culture I had never experinced before. I had no idea what adventures where in store for me. It felt very familiar yesterday except the differernce this time is I have someone to experience it with. That is one of the great things about being married. I get to do life with my best friend. It makes everything that much more exciting. I can't wait to see what adventures are in store for us!

Head Shots
I got my head shots done a while ago but Jon needed to get his done before we left for LA. One of our friends (he did hair and make-up on Lost) set us up with a photographer on the island whose resume includes Playboy and Surfer. I decided to have some pictures take also. Here are some of our favorites. If you click on the picture you can view it larger.

Fun Times at Sunset
Last week we spent a few days at our friends beach house while we were filming in the North Shore because it is a closer drive to work. His house is on (I mean really on) the famous Sunset Beach. When we were not working we got some time to enjoy his awesome house (he usually rents the house for 5 grand a week but it wasn't rented last week so we got to stay for free!)
In the one pictures is a beached Seal (no she is not dead). She beaches her self every night for about an hour or so then goes back in the water. If you look close you can see Jon's feet in his flippers as he goes down in the water while he is spear fishing. Our friend was teaching Jon how to spear fish.
